Celebrate the Holidays in Marana!

There might not be snow in Marana (except maybe up on the mountains) but you can still have a “cup of cheer” during the holiday season! From holiday shopping, to festivals, to magical light displays, to fun family events, there are many ways for you and your family to have a jolly holiday – complete with Arizona weather!

Marana Holiday Festival & Christmas Tree Lighting – December 4

Ring in the holiday season and deck Downtown Marana with live music and dance performances, a visit from Santa, activities for the kids, a Holiday Market with local artisan crafts, a wide selection of local food and beverage vendors, and the highlight of the evening, the lighting of the Town Christmas Tree, complete with a light show synchronized to music! The light shows continue in Downtown Marana throughout the month of December, starting every hour at the top of the hour from 5 PM to 9 PM!

Marana Christmas Express at the Marana Pumpkin Patch – December 9 – 11 and 16 - 23

Share some holiday cheer on the farm at the Marana Pumpkin Patch, with the fall festivities continuing into December! Enjoy some of your favorites from the fall, including select rides, inflatables, and the petting zoo, along with the Christmas Train, Holiday Light Displays, Christmas story time, sweet treats and hot drinks at The Bakery, and an opportunity to see Santa Claus!

Yuletide at Old Tucson – November 25 – December 24 (check event listing for specific opening dates)

Yuletide is a new, immersive, family-friendly experience that combines the old west feel that you’ve come to know and love from Old Tucson, with the magic of some of the best Christmas festivals across Europe and the United States. Help restore the power and the magic of Christmas to Old Tucson! The park will be full of holiday-themed immersive attractions, shows, and dining options! Visit Santa, see a traditional Mexican-style Christmas display, take a hayride on a horse-drawn carriage, and catch the park’s take on Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol! The main event, the Electric Tree Lighting, takes place every night! Watch the town be lit up with the fascinating new invention that is electricity!

From the beautiful Tucson Premium Outlets, to the convenience of the Arizona Pavilions Shopping Center, and everything else in between, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for at our retailers! For the indecisive one on your list, most of the stores offer gift cards! Be sure to check our the stores' websties for some sweet bargains around the holidays!

Winter Solstice Tour of Los Morteros and the Picture Rocks Petroglyphs – December 21 (registration due December 19)

Immerse yourself in Marana’s ancient history with a guided tour of the Los Morteros and Picture Rocks Petroglyphs archaeological sites, which date back to the Hohokam era. Some of the petroglyphs are drawn in such a way that the sun’s light interacts with them at the exact moment of the solstice. The tour is led by a knowledgeable local guide, with an extensive background in archaeology related to the Hohokam peoples. Please note that advance registration is required, by 5PM on December 19.

You can see him at the Marana Holiday Festival & Christmas Tree Lighting, the Country Christmas Farm Fair at Santa Marana Christmas Tree Ranch,  Marana Christmas Express at the Pumpkin Patch, Yuletide at Old Tucson, and the Tucson Premium Outlets at Marana Center! You can also stop by Santa Marana Christmas Tree Farm, as well as several other pop-up tree farms and stands, throughout December to pick out the perfect tree for your home!
