Best Eats on the Cortaro Road Route to Saguaro West

Route #3: Cortaro Road Route (Exit 246)

Starting your journey near Cortaro Road and Interstate 10 (exit 246) means you can choose from at least a dozen local restaurants offering flavors from around the world! Indian, Asian, Mexican, and American favorites can be found on the west side of I-10 in the Arizona Pavilions Shopping Center and the surrounding neighborhood of Continental Ranch.

On the east side of the Interstate, you’ll find delicious local spots, and if you’re willing to drive just a bit further, an award-winning local favorite that got its start in a food truck.

Asian Spice

Location: 7850 N Silverbell Rd, Suite 144

People come to Tucson for the amazing Sonoran-style Mexican food, but if you want to try some of the best Chinese-American food in the country on your journey, stop by Asian Spice on Silverbell Road. It was named as one of Yelp’s Top Chinese Restaurants in the United States in 2024.

La Carreta Del Rorro

Location: 5505 West Cortaro Farms Road

This incredibly popular stand offers bacon-wrapped burros; unique Sonoran-inspired hot dogs, including one with green chile and cream cheese; and a roasted green chile stuffed with carne asada and cheese and served as a taco. Enjoy your meal on their shaded patio, which is decorated with license plates from around the country and around the world.

Mantis Gourmet

This family-owned spot serves traditional Chinese and Vietnamese dishes, including pho, egg foo young, bun, and more. Their extensive menu is also available for parties and catering, and they offer lunch and dinner specials on Mondays, and Wednesday through Friday.
