The Chuck Huckelberry Loop
The Chuck Huckelberry Loop is an amazing route of approximately 137 miles of paved pathways and bike lanes around the perimeter of Pima County. The Loop is named for the former County Administrator who helped make the trail system a reality.
The Marana portion extends to El Rio Preserve in Marana’s Continental Ranch neighborhood off Twin Peaks, near the I-10 and west of the Tucson Premium Outlets at Marana Center.
The Marana portion also includes a new pathway along the west side of the Santa Cruz River that is out of the flood zone, providing a safer and more reliable walking and biking path. The new pathway was completed in 2023 as a result of a Pima County Regional Wastewater Reclamation project to install new pipe from the Continental Ranch Regional Pump Station in collaboration with the Amazon Distribution Center development.
