Guided Hikes & Rides

Marana is home to an amazing trails system that is perfect for hikers, bikers, and those who like to take in the vistas with their equine companions.

Explore the spectacular Tortolita Mountains on a guided hike with Marana Parks and Rec’s knowledgeable and safety-conscious guides. Their guides will lead participants along well maintained trails while talking about the unique features and creatures of the Sonoran Desert. EGG NOG JOG

Need to work off some of the Holiday calories? Then run, walk or jog into 2026 at the Annual Egg Nog Jog. Kickoff your fitness resolution at this popular event. You can already grab your place at the start line. You can also sign up for the Hot Cocoa 5K in the nearby town of Oro Valley which is held on New Year's Day. This race starts later in the morning, just in case you like to sleep in!
