Birding at El Rio Preserve
El Rio Preserve along the Santa Cruz River provides excellent habitat for birds and other wildlife. While the rise in temperatures signals the end of spring migration, our resident birds stick around and continue breeding through the warmer months.
Join Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation birding expert Jeff Babson to look for birds that enjoy the heat, such as Lucy's Warbler, Yellow Warbler, Bells's Vireo, and Summer Tanager.
