Kitt Peak National Observatory
Perched on a beautiful 6,875 mountaintop, Kitt Peak's collection of astronomical telescopes are used every night to make important new discoveries in astronomy. It is open to you through its diverse visitor programs. Docent-led guided tours of several large research telescopes are available daily at 10am, 11:30am, and 1:30pm, and no reservations are required. Walk among the giant telescope domes and enjoy the amazing views of the Sonoran desert during the day and stunning views of the sky at night. Several very popular nighttime programs are available, all of which require preregistration because of limited seating.
