Kitt Peak National Observatory
Kitt Peak National Observatory is a world-class astronomical facility located on a mountaintop in the Arizona desert, about 54 miles southwest of Tucson. It is home to one of the largest arrays of optical and radio telescopes in the world, including three major nighttime telescopes and 22 smaller ones.
Note that tickets must be purchased in advance.
Kitt Peak is located at the end of route 386 on the Tohono O’odham Nation, 54 miles west of Tucson.
Kitt Peak is owned by the Tohono O'odham Nation and the site is leased to NOIR Lab.
