If you’re looking for one of the most unique (and delicious) cycling events in Arizona, the Tour de Cookie in Marana delivers. Hosted by the Marana Rotary, this annual ride combines scenic desert routes, community spirit, and mid-ride motivation: cookies.

What is Tour de Cookie?
Tour de Cookie is a fun, family-friendly cycling event in Marana where riders follow scenic routes and stop along the way to enjoy cookies provided by local organizations and community partners.
How long is the ride?
The full route is approximately 31 miles, but riders don’t have to complete the entire distance. Participants can choose shorter segments based on their comfort level and experience.
Do I have to be an experienced cyclist to participate?
Not at all. Tour de Cookie is designed for riders of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just out for a casual ride, you’re welcome to join.
Where does the route take place?
The ride primarily utilizes The Loop, Southern Arizona’s premier shared-use path, offering wide, paved, and scenic routes through Marana.
Are there rest stops along the way?
Yes! Cookie stations throughout the route serve as fun and energizing stops where riders can take a break, grab a treat, and connect with others.
Is this a race?
No—Tour de Cookie is not a race. It’s a relaxed, community-focused ride centered around fun, food, and enjoying the outdoors.
Can I participate with friends or a group?
Absolutely. Many participants ride with friends, family, or teams—and some even coordinate themed outfits or costumes.
Do people really dress up?
Yes! One of the highlights of the event is the creativity riders bring, from cookie-themed jerseys and socks to full costumes like Cookie Monster.
Where do participants come from?
While many riders are local or winter visitors staying in Marana, the event also attracts participants from across Arizona and beyond, including New Mexico, Texas, North Carolina, and Virginia.
What should I bring?
