Sanctuary Cove
Sanctuary Cove is a desert preserve and event space surrounded by the spectacular beauty of the Tucson Mountains. It is stewarded by a nonprofit organization and open to the public for hiking 365 days a year from sunrise to sunset.
The property features an All Creeds Chapel that was built in 1964, a labyrinth, grounds to wander and a guest cottage that can be rented.
Sanctuary Cove is a wonderful place for a small to medium-sized wedding or special event (up to 100-120 guests), but there are some restrictions to ensure the safety and preservation of the natural environment. Food and alcohol are not allowed (the venue is typically used for ceremonies and services, but not receptions).
The area is also a popular place for family photos but be sure to pay the fee and get a permit first.
Above all else, be sure to follow all the rules at Sanctuary Cove to help maintain this peaceful and free space. Dogs, drones, mountain biking and off-trail hiking are not allowed.
