Alfie Norville Gem & Mineral Museum
Browse a vast collection of gems, minerals, rocks, meteorites, and much more at the University of Arizona's Alfie Norville Gem & Mineral Museum.
Tucson is famous for its gem show season, where people from all around come to Southern Arizona to browse and purchase geological artifacts from Arizona and around the world, and this museum lets you see some of the most striking specimens of gems, minerals, rocks, and more all year long. Visiting the museum would be a great compliment to your gem show season experience!
The museum's collection is located in the newly-renovated Pima County Historic Courthouse. There are 3 major galleries: the Mineral Evolution Gallery, the Arizona Gallery, and the Gem Gallery. The museum has many interactive, touchable, and digital content pieces (videos, photos, and audio, in addition to the gems themselves).
