Ted Fisher Honored with Taste of Marana STANDOUT Award
Owner of Twin Peaks Pizzeria recognized for his commitment to quality, employees and the Marana community

MARANA, Arizona – When it comes to pizza, and just about everything he serves, Ted Fisher believes the details matter. That’s one reason the owner of Twin Peaks Pizzeria can still be found in the kitchen, making dough alongside his wife, Sharron, checking on dishes and staying closely connected to the food leaving his restaurants.
It’s also why Discover Marana knew exactly where to find him when it was time to surprise him with the latest Taste of Marana STANDOUT Award.
Fisher, who also owns Dominick’s Real Italian and All City Catering, was recognized for his impact on Marana’s dining scene, local workforce and small-business community.
“Ted represents so much of what we want this award to celebrate,” said Stefanie Boe, Tourism and Marketing Manager for the Town of Marana. “He has built successful local businesses while maintaining incredibly high standards, creating jobs and opportunities, and investing in the people around him. His impact reaches well beyond the doors of his restaurants.”
Fisher was nominated by Marana business owner Marielle Ceniceros, who highlighted his meticulous attention to detail, willingness to listen to employees and ability to continually evolve his businesses.
“Ted knows when to delegate and when things require his individual attention,” Ceniceros wrote in her nomination. “He’s also ridiculously detail oriented. I think it’s part of his superpower.”
That attention to detail has long been part of Fisher’s approach to the restaurant business.
Before developing the Detroit-style pizza served at Twin Peaks Pizzeria, Fisher traveled to the Motor City, where he ate at multiple restaurants each day to study the style and find the elements he wanted to bring back to his own kitchen.
Today, the dough is still made fresh daily, and Fisher remains hands-on in the restaurant even as his businesses have grown.
“This side of town needed a little pizza place, neighborhood joint, nothing fancy,” said owner Ted Fisher. “We use good ingredients, quality cheese, all our products are fresh, we make sauce and dough every single day. It is just about quality, that’s what it really is. There is no magic.”
Fisher has also become a resource for other restaurant owners, sharing his experience and advice with others navigating the industry.
“I see families and people in and out grabbing pizza and going about their day, and that is Marana, and you guys are Marana,” said Marana Chamber CEO Amanda Wiggins. “When we think of the heart and soul of Marana, it is you.”
Launched in 2023 by Discover Marana and the Town of Marana Restaurant Task Force, the Taste of Marana STANDOUT Award recognizes local food businesses and restaurateurs that go above and beyond — not only in what they serve, but in the role they play in the community.
Nominations come directly from community members. Nominations for the next STANDOUT Award are open to the public. Community members can nominate a local food-related business at DiscoverMarana.org/food-drink/taste-of-marana/.
The award was presented to Fisher at Twin Peaks Pizzeria (7575 W Twin Peaks Rd, Marana, Arizona 85743) on Monday, September 14, 2026.
