MARANA, ARIZONA (November 3, 2025)— The Town of Marana’s tourism division, Discover Marana, has been recognized by the Southern Arizona Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) with an IMPACT Award for Excellence in Public Relations in the Government/Public Affairs Campaign category for its Tourism Master Plan.
The award honors outstanding public relations and communications initiatives across Southern Arizona. Discover Marana’s Tourism Master Plan was celebrated for its strategic community engagement, storytelling, and public outreach efforts that built support for a long-term vision to grow Marana’s visitor economy while enhancing quality of life for residents.
“This award reflects the collaboration and creativity that went into making the Tourism Master Plan a true community-driven effort,” said Curt Woody, Director of Economic Development and Tourism for the Town of Marana. “Our goal has always been to ensure that great places to visit are great places to live—and this recognition underscores that shared vision.”
The PRSA Southern Arizona IMPACT Awards were presented on October 16 at Catalyst Creative Collective in Tucson, where 11 organizations received a total of 21 awards celebrating excellence in communications and public relations.
