Marana, Arizona is located 20 minutes (13 miles) north of downtown Tucson, and extends both east and west of Interstate 10, which connects Tucson and Phoenix.

- Interested in filming in Marana? Please give us at least 30 days to help you navigate the process---the more time, the better!
- For location scouting, please reach out to our team at filmpermits@Maranaaz.gov BEFORE site visits to ensure you have the correct contact. Boundaries between Marana, Tucson, and Pima County can be difficult to distinguish. You can also use this map to search for your location.
- For all film projects in Marana you'll need a Business License.
- To get started filming on Marana streets you'll need a Special Events Permit in addition to a Film Permit.
- To film at a Marana park you'll need a permit from Parks and Recreation in addition to a Film Permit.
- To film in a Marana-owned building please reach out to the film office to discuss before filling out a permit application.
- Note that the Marana Regional Airport is NOT available as a filming location.
- All film projects that use Town of Marana locations (parks, streets, the Marana Municipal Complex, and other) are required to have a minimum of $1 million in general liability insurance coverage and also to add the Town of Marana as "Additional Insured" to the insurance policy, and provide an Insurance Endorsement Document.
- A permit is not required for filming on private property.
