Twin Peaks Pizzeria: Quality Starts in The Kitchen

Some people make pizza, but for Ted Fisher, owner of Twin Peaks Pizzeria in Marana – he makes sure every detail is right.

Fisher has built his many businesses, Dominick’s Real Italian, All City Catering, and Twin Peaks Pizzeria around quality fresh ingredients and a hands-on approach that keeps him in the kitchen, out on the floor and connected to his restaurant community.

His attention to detail has come from all over the country, traveling and trying different styles of food and, more importantly pizza. Taking those tips and tricks and implementing them with things like his signature Detroit-style pizza.

“This side of town [Marana] needed a little pizza place, neighborhood joint, nothing fancy,” said owner Ted Fisher. “We use good ingredients, quality cheese, all of our products are fresh, we make sauce and dough every single day.”

After studying and visiting multiple restaurants throughout the Motor City, he came up with an array of different Detroit-style pizzas to add to his menu.

He coined his favorite the “Motor City.” Before getting any sauce, the dough is spread with a pound of cheese, pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, peppered bacon, hot soppressata, and thrown in the oven before being topped with seasoned ricotta, fresh basil, Mike's Hot Honey, and his signature Detroit pizza sauce.

“It is just about the quality; that’s what it really is,” Fisher said. “There is no magic.”

His quality of food translates right into his quality of work through his ability to delegate responsibilities and know when things require his individual attention. Even expanding his knowledge and experience to his restaurant partners in the surrounding area, according to Marielle Ceniceros, a Marana business owner who nominated Ted Fisher for the Taste of Marana STANDOUT Award.

Ceniceros credits Fisher as one of the first people to encourage her to turn her interest in food photography and media creation into a business.“Ted was one of the first people to believe I could turn my hobby of photographing food and creating media into a real business,” she said. “He was the first person who hired me and I am forever grateful.”

Ted Fisher was presented with Discover Marana’s Taste of Marana STANDOUT Award in September of 2026.

“Ted represents so much of what we want this award to celebrate,” said Stefanie Boe, Tourism and Marketing Manager for the Town of Marana. “He has built successful local businesses while maintaining incredibly high standards, creating jobs and opportunities, and investing in the people around him. His impact reaches well beyond the doors of his restaurants.”

Whether it is Twin Peaks Pizzeria, Dominick’s Real Italian or All City Catering the menus are always evolving and his drive to serve Marana and the greater parts of Pima County continues.

The community can look forward to “Dry Heat Pizza”, Fisher’s new pizza trailer that will debut in late 2026 or early 2027.

“It will feature wood-fired pizza,” said Fisher. “So, Neapolitan-style thin crust and it will be based in the Gladden Farms – Marana area.”
