Mango Margarita, Piña Azul, and Cinnamon Roll - Alejandro's Serious Mexican, Mariscos, & Fusion Food
Just in time for Cinco de Mayo we have another three-for-one with lots of variety from Alejandro's Serious Mexican, Mariscos, & Fusion Food! Alejandro's opened in July of 2022, and is a family-owned restaurant serving up Mexican classics, as well as many dishes inspired by and named after members of owner Alejandro Diaz's family. The restaurant opened in the midst of a tragedy for the family, that being the death of Alejandro's brother. His brother's death served as the inspiration for the opening of the restaurant that has quickly become a well-loved part of the Marana food scene.
Mango Margarita
The Mango Margartia is one of the best-selling drinks at Alejandro's, and is one of dozens of margaritas offered. It's made with fresh mango purée and gold tequila, served on the rocks in a glass rimmed with chamoy (a classic ingredient in many Mexican drinks, dishes, and sweet treats), and their house-made chili-lime salt powder, which is similar to Tajin!
Piña Azul
The Piña Azul is a strong, but very flavorful and refreshing drink made with two shots of tequila, blue curaçao, a natural, house-made sweet and sour, and fresh pineapple juice! It's served in a martini glass rimmed with blueberry chamoy and sugar, garnished with a slice of fresh pineapple!
Cinnamon Roll
The Cinnamon Roll is a horchata-based drink, with Fireball cinnamon whiskey and Captain Morgan spiced rum, served on the rocks in a glass rimmed with sugar, dulce de leche, and marzipan, and garnished with a cinnamon stick!
